Black Humboldt will be hosting a Black Family Campout at the Tish Tang Campground in Hoopa, CA from Friday, August 28th- Sunday August 30th. Black Humboldt will provide the group campsite and group meals, as well as support with transportation and some gear if needed. Families should prepare for a tent camping experience and bring swimwear (and any required water safety gear). Spots are limited and first come first serve, so make sure you register ASAP to secure your spot. Registration will close by Friday, August 7th or when spots are filled; whichever comes first.
Tish Tang Campground is equipped with toilets and private hot outdoor showers, as well as a wood fired sauna available for camper's use. It is positioned among the trees along the Trinity River, and river access is walking distance from all campsites.
A Black Family event is a space created to center Black and inter-racial families and friend groups and provide a space for the Black & Brown community to share Black Humboldt space with their non-Black loved ones.
