I am reaching out with great excitement to share the calendar of events for Black Liberation Month hosted by the Umoja Center for Pan African Student Excellence. These efforts are supported greatly by funding from the Sustainable Humboldt Innovative Futures Trust (SHIFT), as well as our collaboration with a number of on- and off-campus organizations that include the Gutswurrak Student Activity Center, the NAS Food Sovereignty Lab, Department of Athletics, Mother's Cooking Experience, Black Humboldt, and more.

We are grateful for another year of celebrating Black history, Black liberation, Black joy, Black artistry, Black advancement, Black excellence, and most importantly, celebrating our Black students here at Cal Poly Humboldt. You can find a digital version of our Black Liberation Month calendar attached to this email, as well as the flier for our first event of the season, our BLM2025 Kickoff occurring next Thursday on 2/6 from 5-7 in the Gutswurrak SAC.
